What Climate Sensoring does
Climate Sensoring continuously measures the indoor climate of a space and makes that data visible in the Cobradash platform, for both visitors and the people working in the building. Every sensor measures four core values:
- CO₂
- Temperature
- Relative humidity
- Air pressure
The solution has been refined since its first iteration in 2015 and is built for professional environments such as offices and retail spaces.
The two parts of the solution
A complete, plug-and-play measuring and reporting setup consists of two parts:
- The Cobra Climate Sensor — the device in the building that takes the measurements.
- The Cobradash platform — the cloud application where the data is collected, visualised and exported.
How your data reaches Cobradash
By default, the sensor connects over WiFi and sends its measurements to the secure MQTT broker that is part of the Cobradash platform. The connection between the sensor in your building and the platform (hosted in our Amsterdam datacenter) is a single secure MQTT connection over port 8883/TCP.
Built on open standards
Because the data needs to be usable in different ways, the solution is designed around open standards. This means the sensor hardware can connect securely not only to Cobradash, but also — through APIs — to other apps, BI systems, and heating or building management software.
